Hats, Bags & Photos

So I've been knitting again!

Here are a hat (with pink detachable brooch) and stripey bag I've made within the past couple of weeks. The hat took no time, I fired it out in about 3 hours - the flower took longer! I got hat & flower patterns from "I Love Knitting" author, Rachel Henderson. Have a look at her page, it's fab,

The grey & pink stripey bag below is my own design.

Paul and I decided to go on a wee photo shoot in the area just yesterday to model our handywork - here are some of them!

See his page for more of his designs (once they're up!)

More Knits

Hi peeps :)

Here are some more of the things I've knitted so far - mostly scarves, these are my beginning ideas. Now starting to work on things a little more fiddly.

Please let me know any suggestions you have of other things you'd like to see made - I'll see what I can do!

Just to let you know...

Well hello, and welcome to my blog!

I've decided to set this up as I'm looking to start my own wee business soon and thought I'd like to first put up posts to let you see what I've made so far and what I'm going to make. You can let me know what you think and any suggestions you might have!

Sometimes I feel a bit of a saddo being an avid knitter and all, I mean, I am only 25 after all and because I just got married in July, I'm thinking, is this me turning into one of "those" wives? At 25?!? Not good, BUT, actually, it's cool! So I like to think. I mean, it's not like I make doilys, baby bonnets or those dodgy jumpers your grannie would knit that you'd have to wear at Christmas when she came round. I make modern, cute & quirky things that I would wear and use myself.

So I only actually got seriously into knitting in just December last year. For some reason I had a craving for it, finally found a wool shop, grabbed me some needles and got to work, using the internet to show me how. The first piece was rubbish. I gave it to my cat for a blanket but it didn't even cover her little body. She seemed to like it but can't talk to tell me otherwise so I'll just imagine she did. After this I got onto making scarves, lots of them. I'll attach pics so you can see.

I like to add something to my work to make it a little different, colourful and more standy-outty than the norm.

After the scarf phase, I then made a woolen bag and gloves for my sister-in-law, which I was pretty impressed with as a first attempt at not knitting a scarf.

Then I got onto knitting more little bags and purses and am now trying to think of what I can make next. Since starting my first knit in December, I now have 13 items completed. I can't stop!

I hope you like some, if not all of these. I would like to know your opinion. I will be putting them on www.etsy.com and will let you know when I do so if you'd like (I'd like), you can purchase one (or more)!

Thanks for your time ladies and gents, I hope you'll subscribe to my blog and read avidly with gallons of interest!
